This directory contains MontanaLinux.

What is MontanaLinux?
MontanaLinux is a remix of Fedora and CentOS and AlmaLinux... and is an installable, LiveDVD image built with the livecd-creator tool that is part of the livecd-tools package. The kickstart files (.ks) used are slighly modified from those released by the original distro makers.

Also in this directory are the GPG and sha512 files used for verifying the authenticity of the builds by me.
How do these remixes differ from the distro releases they are based on?
MontanaLinux has all of the updates that were available on the build date and includes spins for a few of the major desktop environments. Also installed are a number of desktop applications (Firefox LibreOffice, GIMP, Inkscape, etc) as well as third-party stuff from rpmfusion (mpv, vlc, ffmpeg, etc), etc.

Due to Fedora's branding policy, the Fedora-based images use the generic-logos package. If one would like manually re-Fedora it post-install, all one needs to do is:
     sudo dnf install fedora-logos --allowerasing

The CentOS (CL-7) remix also includes the CCISS RAID driver from the ElRepo repository and should work on some older HP Proliant servers that do not work with the stock distro media.

The EOL directory contains older builds of no-longer supported (aka End Of Life) releases.
Not happy with the package selection, remix your own!
You can find the kickstart configs used to build these remixes inside the config directory.

Everything needed to build your own remix is included on the live media. Just look in:
/root/livecd-creator/MontanaCL/ (CentOS), or /root/livecd-creator/MontanaLinux/custom/ (Fedora)

There you will find the configs used. Feel free to modify them as desired and build your own. Be sure to change the repositories used to either your own local mirror or the official mirrors.

The makeiso file contains the commandline used to generate the iso. Make sure to edit makeiso so your iso filename comes out as desired.

Examples:
ML-A8-XFCE-1111.iso
   That would be AlmaLinux 8 with XFCE built on the 11th day of the 11th month of the current year.
